The DC Comics character's look features the infamous boob window, which at first glance defies explanation. Well, Geoff Johns once tried to explain why Power Girl's suit has a 'window' in the chest, and With all the same powers as Supergirl, Power Girl became a more mature version of the character who fought alongside the Justice Society of America. Power Girl has short hair, a white spandex outfit along with a red cape.
To those that don't religiously follow comics, Power Girl is more often than not known for her superhero attire. She possesses most of the abilities that are inherent in Kryptonians , from super strength to the ability to fly. That isn't all she has in her arsenal, however. Her hand to hand combat is more multifaceted and she's able to do a few things that even her Prime Earth counterpart Supergirl can't do. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Telescopic vision is a weird ability in the sense that it hasn't even been firmly established with limits yet.
After discovering Krypton was about to explode, Kara's father Zor-L launched her as an infant to Earth in a ship at the same time that Kal-L 's ship was launched. However, Kara's ship took a much longer journey, resulting in her arriving on Earth decades after her cousin. Unlike Kal-L's ship which was designed for fast travel, Kara's "Symbioship" was designed to hold her in stasis during her development through the prolonged voyage. In addition, the ship's artificial intelligence ran a virtual reality program, allowing her to interact with life-like copies of her parents and fellow Kryptonians. By the time she landed on Earth, Kara was an adult woman in her early twenties. Power Girl's existence was not revealed to the general public until years after her arrival on Earth-Two. Her cousin Clark and his wife Lois provided her with a family environment that aided her transition from the virtual reality she had experienced during her voyage to real life relationships. She came to regard her cousin and his wife as her "uncle" and "aunt" for raising her on Earth-Two despite being cousins by blood and marriage. Lois Lane-Kent stated that they regarded her as their daughter.
Kara Zor-L was born on the Earth-Two version of the doomed planet of Krypton just before it was destroyed, and her origin story mirrors those of her famous Kryptonian relatives, Superman and her counterpart, Supergirl. When Kara's father, Zor-L, realized that Krypton was about to explode, he placed his infant daughter on a spaceship and shot it towards Earth. This occurred at the same time that the infant Kal-L Kara's cousin and the Superman of Earth-Two had also been launched on a ship towards Earth. To ensure that Kara's mental development kept pace with her physical growth, the ship provided her with a virtual reality that gave her life experiences and education as if she had grown up on Krypton rather than in stasis. During her long journey through space, she was able to interact with virtual copies of her parents and friends in her home city of Kandor. When Kara's ship finally arrived on Earth, she was in her early twenties though in her Modern Age retconned origin, she arrived on Earth at eighteen years of age. Kal-L, who in this reality had married his longtime sweetheart Lois Lane , adopted Kara so she could have a family and a period of adjustment to life on Earth.
